Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before beginning work.
2. Replace Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter (usually found along the fuel line).
  • Using a socket set, remove the mounting bolts holding the fuel filter in place.
  • Carefully disconnect the fuel lines, using caution to avoid fuel spillage.
  • Install the new fuel filter in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines and secure with mounting bolts.
3. Replace Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils
  • Remove the ignition coil cover using a socket set.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition coils.
  • Remove the ignition coils by unbolting them and pulling them out.
  • Replace the old spark plugs with new ones. Torque to manufacturer specifications (typically 13-16 lb-ft).
  • Reinstall the ignition coils and reconnect the electrical connectors.
4. Clean or Replace MAF Sensor
  • Locate the MAF sensor in the air intake duct.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector.
  • Remove the MAF sensor using a screwdriver.
  • Clean the sensor with MAF cleaner spray; if heavily contaminated, replace it with a new sensor.
  • Reinstall the sensor and reconnect the electrical connector.
5. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Start the engine and check for smooth operation.
