1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts needed for the replacement.
  • Tools Required:
    • Screwdriver (Phillips or flathead depending on screws)
    • Replacement bulb (specific to the vehicle, typically a 7443 for tail lights)
    • Gloves (to avoid oil from fingers on the bulb)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and turned off.
2. Access the Tail Light Assembly
  • Open the trunk lid and locate the tail light access panel.
  • Remove any screws or clips securing the access panel, using a screwdriver.
  • Gently pull the access panel away to expose the tail light assembly.
3. Remove the Old Bulb
  • Locate the burnt-out bulb within the tail light assembly.
  • Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise to release it from the assembly.
  • Pull the old bulb straight out of the socket.
4. Install the New Bulb
  • Insert the new bulb into the socket, ensuring it is seated properly.
  • Reinsert the bulb socket back into the tail light assembly, turning it clockwise to secure.
5. Reassemble the Tail Light Assembly
  • Reattach the access panel and secure it with screws or clips.
  • Close the trunk lid.
