Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, a new CR2032 battery.
  • Ensure you are working in a well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam of the key fob where the two halves meet.
  • Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry apart the two halves. Insert the screwdriver into the seam and twist gently to separate the halves without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once opened, locate the battery holder inside the key fob.
  • Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery, noting the orientation (positive side facing up).
4. Insert the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2032 battery into the holder in the same orientation as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Ensure that the battery is seated properly and make sure it clicks into place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press the halves together firmly until they snap back into place.
  • Check for any gaps to ensure it is fully closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and test the key fob buttons to ensure they are functioning correctly.
