Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool before beginning any work.
2. Clean or Replace Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing.
  • Open the housing and remove the air filter.
  • Inspect the filter; if dirty, clean it or replace it with a new one.
  • Reassemble the air filter housing securely.
3. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)
  • Locate the fuel filter in the fuel line.
  • Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
  • Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter using appropriate tools.
  • Replace the old filter with a new one and reconnect the fuel lines.
  • Reinstall the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition on to prime the fuel system.
4. Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely and reassemble the duct.
5. Inspect Transmission Fluid
  • Locate the transmission dipstick (if applicable).
  • Check the fluid level; add fluid if low and ensure it is the correct type.
  • If the fluid is burnt or discolored, consider a fluid change.
