Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: screwdrivers, vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths, HVAC cleaner spray, and gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
2. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the cabin air filter housing, usually found behind the glove compartment.
  3. Remove the cover by unclipping or unscrewing it.
  4. Take out the old cabin air filter and inspect it for dirt and odor.
  5. Install a new cabin air filter, ensuring it is oriented correctly.
  6. Reattach the cover and close the glove compartment.
3. Clean the HVAC System
  1. Start the vehicle and turn on the HVAC system to the highest setting.
  2. Spray HVAC cleaner into the air intake vent located at the base of the windshield.
  3. Allow the cleaner to circulate through the system for the recommended time as per the product instructions.
  4. Turn off the engine and let the system dry.
4. Check and Clear HVAC Drain
  1. Locate the HVAC drain tube, usually found under the vehicle on the passenger side.
  2. Inspect for blockages or debris that may prevent proper drainage.
  3. If blocked, use compressed air or a small brush to clear the drain.
