Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather the necessary tools:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • New cabin air filter
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Remove Glove Compartment
  1. Detach the glove compartment:

    • Locate the stops on both sides of the glove compartment.
    • Squeeze the sides of the glove compartment inward and gently pull it down to release it from the stops.
  2. Remove the access cover:

    • Look for the cabin air filter access cover behind the glove compartment.
    • Use a flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to gently pry off the cover.
3. Replace Cabin Air Filter
  1. Remove the old filter:

    • Pull out the existing cabin air filter from its housing.
    • Note the orientation of the filter for correct installation of the new one.

    • Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (usually with the airflow direction indicated on the filter).
  3. Reattach the access cover:

    • Snap the access cover back into place securely.
4. Reinstall Glove Compartment
  1. Reattach the glove compartment:
    • Align the glove compartment with the hinges and lift it back into position.
