Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flat-head screwdriver or Phillips screwdriver (depending on screws)
    • Clean cloth or vacuum (optional for cleaning)
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  • Gently squeeze the sides of the glove compartment to release the stops and allow it to lower fully.
  • Look for the screws or clips securing the access panel for the cabin air filter, typically located at the back of the glove compartment.
  • Use the screwdriver to remove the screws or unclip the panel.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Once the access panel is removed, pull out the old cabin air filter. Note the orientation of the filter to ensure proper installation of the new one.
  • If necessary, use a clean cloth or vacuum to clear any debris from the filter housing.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Take the new cabin air filter and insert it into the housing in the same orientation as the old filter (ensure the airflow direction matches).
  • Reattach the access panel and secure it with screws or clips.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  • Squeeze the sides of the glove compartment again to re-engage the stops and lift it back into place.
  • Ensure it is securely closed and replace any items removed earlier.
