Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Small flat head screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032), cleaning cloth
  • Ensure you are working in a well-lit area.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam on the edge of the key fob.
  • Insert the small flat head screwdriver into the seam and gently twist to pry the fob open. Be careful not to damage the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is open, locate the battery compartment.
  • Carefully lift out the old battery using the screwdriver or your fingers. Take note of the battery's orientation (positive side up).
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented the same way as the old battery (positive side facing up).
  • Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the fob and press them together until they click into place.
  • Ensure there are no gaps along the seam and that the fob is sealed properly.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand within close range of the vehicle and press any button on the key fob to check if it is functioning correctly.
  • If responsive, the battery replacement is successful.
