Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: small flathead screwdriver, replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure a clean workspace and have a soft cloth to place the key fob on to avoid scratches.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver into the seam of the key fob near the key ring.
  • Gently twist the screwdriver to pry open the two halves of the fob without damaging the plastic.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Locate the battery compartment and carefully lift the old battery out using the screwdriver or your fingers.
  • Note the orientation of the battery (positive side facing up).
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob back together.
  • Press firmly until you hear a click, ensuring it is securely closed.
5. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press any button to verify that the key fob is functioning correctly.
  • If the fob does not respond, double-check the battery installation and reassemble if necessary.
