Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: clean lint-free cloth, funnel (if adding fluid), new transmission fluid (if required).
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is warm but not overly hot.
2. Check Fluid Level
  1. Locate the transmission dipstick.
    • It is usually marked with a bright color (often yellow or red).
  2. Remove the dipstick.
    • Pull it straight out and be cautious of any excess fluid that might drip.
  3. Wipe the dipstick clean.
    • Use a lint-free cloth to ensure no debris contaminates the fluid sample.
  4. Insert the dipstick back into the tube.
    • Push it all the way in to ensure an accurate reading.
  5. Remove the dipstick again and check the fluid level.
    • The fluid should be between the "Full" and "Add" marks on the dipstick.
  6. Assess the fluid condition.
    • Good fluid should be a clear red color. If it's brown or has a burnt smell, it may need to be replaced.
3. Add Fluid (if necessary)
  1. If the fluid level is low, add the recommended transmission fluid.
    • Use Toyota ATF WS (Toyota Automatic Transmission Fluid).
  2. Use a funnel to prevent spills.
    • Slowly add fluid until it reaches the "Full" mark on the dipstick.
  3. Recheck the fluid level to ensure it's within the proper range.
  4. Replace the dipstick securely.
