Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather required tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is off.
  • Wear safety gloves and goggles.
2. Check and Top Off Power Steering Fluid
  • Locate the power steering fluid reservoir under the hood.
  • Remove the cap and check the fluid level against the marked indicators.
  • If low, add the appropriate type of power steering fluid as specified in the vehicle manual.
3. Inspect and Replace Power Steering Pump (if necessary)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, fluid catch pan.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
  • Remove the belt from the power steering pump using a ratchet and socket.
  • Disconnect the power steering lines from the pump using the appropriate wrench.
