Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, flathead screwdriver, and replacement battery for the key fob.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe working area with sufficient lighting.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery and check the battery type (usually CR2032).
  3. Insert the new battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit in the driver’s seat with all doors closed.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position, then back to "OFF" five times within 10 seconds.
  3. Leave the key in the "ON" position on the fifth turn. The doors will lock and unlock to indicate programming mode.
