Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: multimeter, jumper cables, socket set, wire brush, and safety gloves.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location and the ignition is off.
2. Clean Battery Terminals
  • Disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal to avoid short circuits.
  • Use a wire brush to clean any corrosion from the battery terminals and posts.
  • Reconnect the positive terminal first, then the negative terminal. Ensure they are tight.
3. Jump-Start the Vehicle
  • Position a working vehicle close enough to connect jumper cables.
  • Connect the red (positive) jumper cable to the dead battery's positive terminal.
  • Connect the other end of the red cable to the positive terminal of the working battery.
  • Connect the black (negative) cable to the working battery's negative terminal.
  • Connect the other end of the black cable to an unpainted metal ground on the dead vehicle (not to the battery).
  • Start the working vehicle, then attempt to start the Camry.
4. Replace the Battery (if necessary)
  • If the vehicle starts, let it run for at least 30 minutes to recharge the battery.
  • If the battery is old (over 3-5 years), consider replacing it.
  • To replace, disconnect the terminals as in Step 2, remove any securing brackets, and lift out the old battery.
  • Install the new battery in the reverse order: place it in the tray, secure with brackets, and connect terminals.
