Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool down before beginning work.
2. Replace Fuel Filter
  • Locate the fuel filter under the vehicle (depending on the model year, it may be in different locations).
  • Use a socket set to remove the mounting bolts.
  • Disconnect the fuel line from both ends of the filter using a fuel line disconnect tool.
  • Install the new fuel filter in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Reconnect the fuel lines securely and tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specifications.
3. Clean or Replace IAC Valve
  • Locate the idle air control valve on the throttle body.
  • Remove the electrical connector and the mounting screws using a screwdriver.
  • Inspect the valve for carbon buildup; clean it with throttle body cleaner if dirty, or replace it if necessary.
  • Reinstall the IAC valve and reconnect the electrical connector.
4. Inspect and Replace Spark Plugs
  • Remove the ignition coils using a ratchet and socket.
  • Take out the spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  • Inspect the spark plugs for wear and carbon buildup; replace them with new ones if necessary.
  • Reinstall the spark plugs and ignition coils, ensuring they are torqued to the specified value.
5. Test and Clean Throttle Body
  • Disconnect the air intake hose from the throttle body.
  • Remove the throttle body from the intake manifold.
  • Clean the throttle body thoroughly with throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth.
  • Reinstall the throttle body, ensuring all bolts are tightened to specification.
