Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location.
  • Confirm that the vehicle has at least 50% battery charge.
  • Have the Tesla mobile app ready for additional settings if necessary.
2. Soft Reset of the System
  1. Press and hold both scroll wheels on the steering wheel until the touchscreen goes black and the Tesla logo appears, which may take about 10-15 seconds.
  2. Release the scroll wheels once you see the logo. Wait for the system to reboot completely.
3. Hard Reset (if needed)
  1. If the soft reset does not resolve the issue, power off the vehicle completely.
    • Go to Controls > Safety & Security > Power Off.
  2. Wait for at least two minutes without interacting with the vehicle.
  3. Press the brake pedal to power the vehicle back on.
4. Recheck Autopilot Settings
  1. After rebooting, navigate to Controls > Autopilot.
  2. Ensure all desired Autopilot features are enabled, including Traffic Aware Cruise Control and Autosteer.
  3. Exit the settings menu and test the Autopilot functionality on a safe, open road.
