Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: multimeter, jumper cables, and a socket set.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in "Park" and the ignition is turned off.
  • If using jumper cables, make sure both vehicles are turned off before connecting.
2. Check and Replace the 12V Battery
  1. Access Battery Compartment
    • Open the front trunk (frunk) of the vehicle to access the 12V battery.
  2. Disconnect Battery
    • Use a socket set to remove the negative (-) terminal first, followed by the positive (+) terminal.
  3. Inspect Battery
    • Check for any signs of corrosion or damage on the battery terminals and casing.
  4. Replace Battery (if necessary)
    • If the battery is below 12.4 volts or damaged, replace it with a new 12V battery compatible with Tesla specifications.
  5. Reconnect Battery
    • Connect the positive (+) terminal first, followed by the negative (-) terminal.
  6. Test Start the Vehicle
    • Attempt to start the vehicle again to see if the issue persists.
3. Jump-Start the Vehicle (if necessary)
  1. Connect Jumper Cables
    • Attach the red jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of the 12V battery in the Tesla and the other end to the positive terminal of the donor vehicle.
    • Attach the black jumper cable to the negative (-) terminal of the donor vehicle and the other end to a metal ground point on the Tesla.
  2. Start Donor Vehicle
    • Start the donor vehicle and allow it to run for a few minutes.
  3. Attempt to Start Tesla
    • Try starting the Tesla while the donor vehicle is running.
