Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely with the ignition off.
  • Disconnect the 12V battery to prevent electrical shock.
2. Remove Door Panel
  • Use a trim removal tool to carefully pry off the door panel clips.
  • Unscrew any visible screws securing the door panel (often near the handle and around the edges).
  • Lift the door panel upwards to detach it from the door frame and disconnect any wiring harnesses.
3. Inspect Window Motor and Regulator
  • Locate the window motor and regulator assembly.
  • Visually inspect for any signs of wear or damage.
  • If the motor is faulty, disconnect the wiring harness and remove the motor by unfastening the screws that hold it in place.
4. Replace Window Motor/Regulator
  • If the motor is defective, replace it with a new one:
    • Align the new motor with the regulator and secure it with screws.
    • Reconnect the wiring harness to the new motor.
  • If the regulator is damaged, replace it as well by unfastening it from the window and door frame and installing a new one.
5. Reassemble Door Panel
  • Reconnect the wiring harnesses to the door panel.
  • Align the door panel back onto the door frame and press it into place to snap the clips securely.
  • Reinstall any screws removed earlier.
6. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the 12V battery.
  • Test the window operation by pressing the switch to ensure it rolls up and down smoothly.
