Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the parking brake is engaged.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on the vehicle's suspension.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a hydraulic lift or jack to raise the vehicle.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands to ensure stability.
3. Remove the Old Shocks
  • Tools Required: Socket set, wrench set, torque wrench.
  • Locate the top and bottom mounting bolts of the shock absorber.
  • Remove the top bolts first, followed by the bottom bolts.
  • Carefully pull the shock absorber out of its mounting location.
4. Install New Shocks
  • Tools Required: Same as above.
  • Position the new shock absorber in place, starting with the bottom mounting point.
  • Hand-tighten the bottom bolts before moving to the top.
  • Secure the top bolts and tighten to manufacturer's specifications (consult the service manual for torque values).
5. Lower the Vehicle
