Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a flathead screwdriver (if needed to access battery terminals).
  • Ensure that the vehicle is powered off and in a safe location.
2. Disconnect the 12V Battery
  1. Open the front trunk (frunk) to access the 12V battery.
  2. Locate the battery terminals; the negative terminal is typically marked with a "-" sign.
  3. Using the flathead screwdriver, gently loosen the nut on the negative terminal and remove the cable.
  4. Ensure that the cable does not touch the terminal while the battery is disconnected.
3. Wait and Reconnect
  1. Allow the vehicle to sit without power for at least 5 minutes. This will allow the systems to fully reset.
  2. Reattach the negative battery cable to the terminal and tighten the nut securely.
  3. Ensure that no tools or loose items are left in the frunk before closing it.
4. Power On the Vehicle
  1. Press the brake pedal and push the start button to turn on the vehicle.
  2. Monitor the touchscreen for any warning messages regarding the battery.
5. Calibration (if needed)
  1. If issues persist, consider recalibrating the battery management system by fully charging the battery to 100% and then discharging it to around 10% before charging it again.
