Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or prying tool
    • Clean microfiber cloth
  • Park the vehicle in a safe, well-lit area and ensure the vehicle is turned off.
2. Access the Cabin Filter Compartment
  • Locate the cabin filter access cover, which is usually found behind the glove compartment.
  • Open the glove compartment and gently squeeze the sides to release the stops, allowing the compartment to drop down.
  • Remove the access cover using a flathead screwdriver or a prying tool by gently prying it off.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Filter
  • Once the cover is removed, pull out the old cabin filter. Note the orientation of the filter (which side faces out) for proper installation of the new filter.
  • Inspect the old filter for dirt and debris to confirm it needs replacement.
4. Install the New Cabin Filter
  • Take the new cabin filter out of its packaging. Ensure it matches the size and shape of the old filter.
  • Insert the new filter into the compartment, making sure to match the orientation noted earlier (usually indicated by an arrow on the filter).
5. Reassemble
  • Reattach the access cover by snapping it back into place securely.
  • Raise the glove compartment back into position and ensure the stops are engaged.
