Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, tire pressure gauge, torque wrench, and a replacement TPMS sensor if needed.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the tires are cold.
  • Disconnect the 12V battery for safety (if necessary).
2. Inspect and Replace TPMS Sensors
  1. Remove Wheel Cover (if applicable)
    • Use a flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to carefully pry off the wheel cover.
  2. Remove the Wheel
    • Loosen the lug nuts with a socket wrench, then lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it with jack stands.
    • Fully remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
  3. Access the TPMS Sensor
    • Locate the TPMS sensor attached to the valve stem inside the wheel.
    • Remove the retaining nut using a suitable socket.
  4. Replace the TPMS Sensor
    • Disconnect the old sensor by removing the rubber grommet and pulling it out.
    • Insert the new TPMS sensor into the valve stem and secure it with the retaining nut to the manufacturer’s torque specification (typically around 4.5 Nm).
  5. Reinstall the Wheel
    • Place the wheel back onto the hub, hand-tighten the lug nuts, and then use a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer's specifications (usually around 110 Nm).
  6. Reattach Wheel Cover
    • Press the wheel cover back into place until it clicks.
3. TPMS Reset
  1. Reconnect Battery (if disconnected)
    • Reconnect the 12V battery terminal, ensuring it is secure.
  2. Reset TPMS via Touchscreen
    • Access the settings on the touchscreen, navigate to "Service," and select "TPMS Reset." Follow the prompts to complete the reset.
