Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked safely and in a level area.
  • Confirm that the vehicle is in "Park" mode.
2. Perform a Soft Reboot
  1. Press and hold the two scroll wheels on the steering wheel simultaneously.
  2. Hold the buttons until the touchscreen goes black, then release them.
  3. Wait for the Tesla logo to appear on the screen, indicating the reboot process is complete.
3. Perform a Hard Reboot (if soft reboot does not work)
  1. Ensure the vehicle is in "Park" mode.
  2. Disconnect the 12V battery (located under the front trunk).
    • Remove the plastic cover to access the battery.
    • Use a socket set to disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal.
  3. Wait for about 5 minutes before reconnecting the battery, first the positive terminal, then the negative terminal.
  4. Replace the plastic cover securely.
4. Check for Software Updates
  1. Reconnect to Wi-Fi if not already connected.
  2. Navigate to 'Software' in the vehicle settings.
  3. Verify if any additional updates are available and install them.
