Solution
1. Preparation

  • Have a replacement battery ready (CR2032).
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Hold the key fob in one hand with the Tesla logo facing up.
  • Use a small flat-head screwdriver or a plastic pry tool to carefully insert into the seam of the key fob.
  • Gently pry apart the two halves of the key fob casing, taking care not to damage the plastic.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Once the key fob is opened, locate the battery compartment.
  • Carefully remove the old CR2032 battery by sliding it out, noting the orientation (positive side facing up).
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring it is oriented correctly (positive side up).
