Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather all necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and turned off.
  • Open the front trunk (frunk) for access.
2. Accessing the Cabin Air Filter
  • Locate the cabin air filter access panel: It is situated behind the front passenger side glove box.
  • Remove the passenger side glove box:
    • Press the sides of the glove box inward to release it from the clips.
    • Disconnect the glove box damper arm (if equipped) by pulling it off carefully.
    • Lower the glove box fully to expose the access panel.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  • Open the access panel: Look for the tabs or clips securing the access panel and release them to open.
  • Take out the old cabin air filter: Pull the filter straight out from its housing. Note its orientation for the installation of the new filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  • Insert the new cabin air filter: Ensure it is facing the correct direction as indicated on the filter or by the housing arrows.
  • Close the access panel: Secure it back into place by pressing on the tabs or clips.
5. Reassemble the Glove Box
  • Reattach the glove box damper arm (if equipped).
  • Reposition the glove box: Lift it back into place, ensuring it clicks into the clips.
  • Close the glove box to ensure it is secure.
