Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Torx screwdriver (T20), flashlight.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe, well-lit area.
  • Disconnect the vehicle from any charging source.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all items.
  2. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment hinge and gently push them inward to allow the glove compartment to drop down completely.
  3. Remove the Torx screws securing the cabin air filter cover located behind the glove compartment (typically two screws).
3. Remove and Replace the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Carefully pull the cabin air filter cover off to expose the filter.
  2. Slide the old cabin air filter out of its housing. Note the orientation of the filter for proper installation of the new one.
  3. Insert the new cabin air filter in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring it fits snugly in place.
4. Reassemble Components
  1. Replace the cabin air filter cover and secure it with the Torx screws.
  2. Carefully lift the glove compartment back into position, ensuring the stops are correctly aligned, and it clicks back into place.
5. Final Check
  • Close the glove compartment and start the vehicle. Turn on the climate control to check airflow.
