Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to avoid electrical issues during the repair.
2. Inspect and Replace Oil
  1. Check Oil Level

    • Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and remove again to check the oil level.
    • If low, add the appropriate type and amount of oil as specified in the owner’s manual.
  2. Change Oil and Filter

    • Drain Oil
      • Place an oil drain pan under the oil pan, remove the drain plug, and allow the old oil to fully drain.
    • Remove Oil Filter
      • Use an oil filter wrench to remove the old oil filter. Apply a bit of new oil to the rubber seal of the new filter before installing it.
    • Install New Oil Filter
      • Install the new oil filter by hand until snug, then tighten slightly more (do not overtighten).
    • Replace Drain Plug
      • Reinstall the drain plug and tighten it to the manufacturer’s torque specification.
    • Add New Oil
      • Refill the engine with the appropriate type of oil through the oil filler cap.
      • Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, then check for leaks around the oil filter and drain plug.
3. Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit (if applicable)
  1. Locate the Sending Unit

    • Find the oil pressure sending unit (usually located near the oil filter or at the back of the engine).
  2. Remove Old Sending Unit

    • Disconnect the wiring harness and use a socket to remove the old sending unit.
  3. Install New Sending Unit

    • Apply a small amount of thread sealant to the threads of the new sending unit and install it.
    • Reconnect the wiring harness.
