Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Socket set
    • Torque wrench
    • Screwdrivers (flathead and Phillips)
    • Pliers
    • Transmission jack
    • Safety gloves and goggles
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a transmission jack to support the vehicle and raise it to a safe working height.
  • Secure the vehicle with jack stands to ensure stability.
3. Remove the Transmission Cover
  • Locate and remove the bolts securing the transmission cover using a socket wrench.
  • Carefully lift the cover off, ensuring not to damage any sealing surfaces.
4. Remove the Old CVT Belt
  • Disconnect any components obstructing access to the CVT belt (such as pulleys or brackets).
  • Use a torque wrench to loosen and remove the tensioner that holds the belt in place.
  • Carefully slide the old CVT belt off the pulleys.
5. Install the New CVT Belt
  • Position the new CVT belt around the pulleys, ensuring it is properly aligned according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Reinstall the tensioner and tighten it to the specified torque value (refer to the vehicle service manual for exact torque specifications).
  • Reattach any components that were removed for access.
6. Reassemble and Lower the Vehicle
  • Replace the transmission cover and secure it with bolts, tightening to the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Remove the jack stands and lower the vehicle back to the ground.
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
