Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a small flat-head screwdriver, a new key fob battery (CR2032 or equivalent).
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit, dry area to work on the key fob.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Use the small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry open the key fob casing.
  2. Remove the old battery carefully, taking note of the orientation (positive and negative sides).
  3. Insert the new battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  4. Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Reprogram Key Fob (if necessary)
  1. Sit inside the vehicle and close all doors.
  2. Insert the key into the ignition (if equipped) and turn it to the "On" position without starting the engine.
  3. Press and hold the lock button on the key fob for about 5 seconds.
  4. Turn the ignition back to the "Off" position and remove the key.
  5. Test the key fob to ensure it is functioning properly.
