Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and securely raised if necessary.
2. Inspect and Clean Throttle Body
  1. Remove the air intake duct connected to the throttle body.
    • Tools: Socket set, screwdrivers.
  2. Using throttle body cleaner, spray the throttle plate and surrounding area.
  3. Clean the interior of the throttle body with a soft cloth.
  4. Reattach the air intake duct securely.
3. Replace Spark Plugs
  1. Remove the ignition coils by unscrewing the retaining bolts.
    • Tools: Socket set.
  2. Carefully pull the ignition coils out of the spark plug wells.
  3. Remove old spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
  4. Install new spark plugs with the manufacturer-recommended torque specification (typically 13-15 ft-lbs).
  5. Reinstall the ignition coils and secure them with bolts.
4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)
  1. Locate the fuel filter and relieve fuel pressure from the system.
    • Tools: Fuel line removal tool, rags for spills.
  2. Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter.
  3. Remove the old fuel filter and install a new one.
  4. Reconnect the fuel lines and check for leaks.
5. Inspect Air Filter
  1. Open the air filter housing and remove the old air filter.
  2. Replace with a new air filter, ensuring it fits snugly.
  3. Close the air filter housing securely.
