Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, cleaning spray, multimeter, torque wrench.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off for safety.
2. Scan for Error Codes
  • Connect the OBD-II scanner to the vehicle's diagnostic port.
  • Turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Record any error codes and consult the service manual for specific troubleshooting based on the codes.
3. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Tools Required: Throttle body cleaner, rag.
  • Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
  • Spray throttle body cleaner on a rag and clean the inside of the throttle body until free of deposits.
  • Reinstall the air intake duct and ensure all clamps are secure.
4. Inspect and Test Idle Air Control Valve
  • Locate the idle air control valve (IAC) and disconnect the electrical connector.
