Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: Small flathead screwdriver, new battery (CR2032), and a soft cloth.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe and accessible location.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Using the small flathead screwdriver, gently pry open the key fob casing at the designated notch.
  • Be cautious to avoid damaging the casing or internal components.
3. Replace the Battery
  • Remove the old battery from the key fob, noting its orientation (positive side up).
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery in the same orientation as the old one.
  • Ensure it is seated properly in the battery compartment.
4. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and snap them back together securely.
  • Test the indicator light to confirm it illuminates upon button press.
5. Reprogram the Key Fob (if necessary)
  • Sit in the driver's seat and close all doors.
  • Insert the key into the ignition and turn to the "ON" position without starting the engine.
  • Press the lock button on the key fob for a few seconds, then turn the key to "OFF" and remove it.
  • Test the key fob to ensure it operates correctly.
