Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx screwdriver (T25), clean cloth.
  • Safety Warnings: Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked on a level surface.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the two stoppers on the sides of the glove compartment and gently squeeze them to release the glove compartment door.
  3. Allow the glove compartment to lower fully to access the cabin air filter cover.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover, which is typically a plastic panel secured by screws.
  2. Use the Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the filter cover.
  3. Carefully detach the cover and set it aside.
  4. Pull out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for the new filter installation.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unbox the new cabin air filter and ensure it matches the old filter in size and configuration.
  2. Insert the new filter in the same orientation as the old filter was positioned (usually indicated by an arrow on the filter).
  3. Replace the filter cover and secure it with the screws using the Torx screwdriver.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment door back to its original position.
  2. Squeeze the side stoppers to lock the glove compartment into place.
  3. Place all contents back in the glove compartment.
