1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Pliers
    • Clean cloth
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off before starting the replacement process.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove all items.
  2. Locate the two stops on either side of the glove compartment and gently press them inward to allow the glove compartment to lower fully.
  3. Disconnect the dampening strap (if equipped) by removing the fastener or clip.
  4. Locate the cabin air filter access panel, which is usually located behind the glove compartment.
3. Remove Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unscrew or unclip the access panel using a flathead screwdriver or pliers.

  1. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (follow the airflow direction arrows).
  2. Replace the access panel and secure it with screws or clips.
  3. Reattach the dampening strap (if applicable) and ensure the glove compartment is aligned properly.
5. Final Checks
  1. Close the glove compartment and ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
  2. Turn on the HVAC system to ensure proper airflow is restored.
