Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
2. Drain the Old CVT Fluid
  • Tools Required: Socket set, fluid catch pan, funnel
  • Locate the CVT fluid drain plug and position the fluid catch pan underneath.
  • Remove the drain plug and allow the old fluid to completely drain into the pan.
  • Replace the drain plug and tighten it to the manufacturer's specified torque.
3. Refill with New CVT Fluid
  • Tools Required: Funnel, new CVT fluid (consult owner's manual for specifications)
  • Locate the CVT fluid fill plug and remove it.
  • Using a funnel, pour the new CVT fluid into the fill hole until the proper level is reached.
  • Replace the fill plug and ensure it is securely tightened.
4. Check Fluid Level
  • Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
  • With the vehicle running, check the CVT fluid level again using the dipstick (if applicable) or inspection plug.
  • Add more fluid if necessary to achieve the correct level.
