Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts.
  • Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface with the engine off.
  • Tools Required:
    • Alignment machine
    • Torque wrench
    • Socket set
    • Leveling tool
    • Jack and jack stands
2. Raise the Vehicle
  • Use a jack to lift the front of the vehicle and secure it with jack stands.
  • Ensure the vehicle is stable before proceeding.
3. Adjust Toe Angle
  • Locate the tie rod ends on both sides of the vehicle.
  • Use the torque wrench to loosen the lock nut on each tie rod.
  • Rotate the tie rod to adjust the toe angle:
    • For toe-in: turn the tie rod clockwise.
    • For toe-out: turn the tie rod counterclockwise.
  • Tighten the lock nut once the desired toe angle is achieved, following manufacturer's specifications for torque.
4. Adjust Camber Angle (if needed)
  • Inspect the upper control arms for camber adjustment bolts.
  • Loosen the camber adjustment bolts using the socket set.
  • Adjust the camber angle:
    • For more positive camber, pivot the top of the wheel inward.
    • For more negative camber, pivot the top of the wheel outward.
  • Retighten the bolts to the manufacturer’s torque specifications.
5. Finalize Alignment
  • Recheck alignment angles using the alignment machine.
  • Ensure all adjustments are within the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Lower the vehicle, remove the jack stands, and perform a test drive to confirm the alignment.
