Solution

1. Preparation

• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface with the engine off.
• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.

2. Inspect and Replace Throttle Position Sensor

• Tools Required: Socket set, multimeter, torque wrench.
• Remove the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) from the throttle body by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
• Use a multimeter to test the TPS for proper voltage output while moving the throttle plate manually. If it does not meet specifications, replace the sensor.
• Install the new TPS and torque bolts to manufacturer specifications.

3. Check and Replace Accelerator Pedal Sensor

• Remove the accelerator pedal assembly by unscrewing the mounting bolts.
• Disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor.
