Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: small flathead screwdriver, a new key fob battery (usually CR2032), and a clean work surface.
  • Ensure the vehicle is in a safe location.
2. Replace Key Fob Battery
  1. Locate the seam on the key fob and insert the small flathead screwdriver into the seam.
  2. Gently twist the screwdriver to pry open the key fob casing.
  3. Remove the old battery carefully, noting the orientation of the battery.
  4. Insert the new battery (CR2032) in the same orientation as the old one.
  5. Snap the key fob casing back together until it clicks securely.
3. Resync Key Fob with Vehicle
  1. Sit inside the vehicle with the new battery installed in the key fob.
  2. Press the brake pedal and push the start button to power on the vehicle.
  3. If prompted, follow the on-screen instructions to resync the key fob.
