Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool
    • Clean microfiber cloth
  • Parts Required:
    • New cabin air filter
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and the keys are removed from the ignition.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment: Remove all items from the glove compartment to facilitate access.
  2. Remove the glove compartment door: Locate the retention clips on both sides and gently press them inward to release the door. Allow it to swing down completely.
  3. Locate the access panel: Find the cabin air filter access panel behind the glove compartment.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Detach the access panel: Depending on the design, use a flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to carefully pry off the access panel.
  2. Pull out the old cabin air filter: Remove it gently, taking care to avoid spilling any debris into the cabin.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Prepare the new filter: Ensure the new cabin air filter is the correct model and configuration.
  2. Insert the new filter: Align it with the airflow direction indicator (usually an arrow) facing the correct direction and slide it into place.
  3. Reattach the access panel: Secure the panel back into its original position.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Reattach the glove compartment door: Align it properly and push the retention clips back into place.
