Solution
1. Preparation
  • Park the vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
  • Gather necessary tools and materials.
  • Use gloves to avoid contact with transmission fluid.
2. Locate and Remove Dipstick or Fill Plug
  • If equipped, locate the transmission dipstick near the back of the engine bay.
  • If there is no dipstick, identify the fill plug on the transmission housing.
  • Carefully remove the dipstick or fill plug using a socket or wrench.
3. Check Fluid Level
  • Insert the dipstick back into its tube, then remove it again to check the fluid level.
  • If using the fill plug, touch the fluid with a finger to check for adequate levels (fluid should be just below the fill hole).
4. Add Transmission Fluid
  • If fluid is low, use a funnel to add the recommended type of transmission fluid (consult the owner’s manual for specifications).
  • Pour in small amounts, checking the level after each addition until it reaches the proper level.
5. Reassemble
  • Replace the dipstick or fill plug securely to prevent leaks.
  • Ensure all tools are removed from the engine bay.
