1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and secure it with wheel chocks.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.

2. Check Transmission Fluid

• Remove the transmission dipstick and wipe it clean.
• Insert it back and remove again to check the fluid level.
• If low, add the appropriate transmission fluid (check owner’s manual for specifications).
• If the fluid is dark or smells burnt, a fluid change is necessary.

3. Replace Transmission Fluid

• Drain the old transmission fluid using a drain pan (remove the drain plug).
• Replace the transmission filter if equipped (remove the filter housing).
• Reinstall the drain plug and refill with new transmission fluid through the dipstick tube, using a funnel.
