my Skoda Octavia NFL (2020-Present) is using too much fuel, what could be wrong?

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface and the engine is cool.
• Disconnect the battery to ensure safety while working on electrical components.

2. Clean or Replace Air Filter

• Remove the air filter cover using a socket set.
• Take out the air filter and inspect it for dirt and clogs.
• Clean or replace the air filter with a new one based on manufacturer specifications.

3. Test and Repair Fuel System

• Attach a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
• Turn the ignition to the "on" position without starting the engine and check the pressure reading.
  • If the pressure is low, inspect the fuel pump and replace it if necessary.
• Remove the fuel injectors and clean them using an ultrasonic cleaner or replace them if they are faulty.
