my Skoda Octavia NFL (2020-Present) is shaking when I brake, what could cause this?

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is off.
• Wear safety glasses and gloves.

2. Remove the Wheel

• Use a lug wrench to loosen the lug nuts slightly while the vehicle is on the ground.
• Lift the vehicle using a jack and secure it on jack stands.
• Remove the lug nuts and wheel to access the brake components.

3. Inspect and Replace Brake Rotors

• Inspect Rotors:
  • Use a dial indicator to measure rotor runout. If warping is detected (more than 0.002 inches), replacement is necessary.
• Replace Rotors:
  • Remove the caliper by unscrewing the bolts holding it in place.
  • Slide the caliper off the rotor and support it using a bungee cord or rope to avoid straining the brake line.
  • Remove the old rotor by unscrewing any retaining screws and sliding it off the hub.
  • Install the new rotor, ensuring it is seated properly and secured with retaining screws.

4. Replace Brake Pads

• Remove the old brake pads from the caliper bracket.
