my Skoda Octavia NFL (2020-Present) has a rough idle when I start it what’s the issue

Solution

1. Preparation

• Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
• Ensure the vehicle is on a flat surface and the engine is off.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.

2. Replace Spark Plugs

1. Remove any engine covers if applicable.
2. Use a socket wrench to carefully remove the spark plug wires or ignition coils.
3. Remove the old spark plugs using a spark plug socket.
4. Check the gap on the new spark plugs according to manufacturer specifications.
5. Install the new spark plugs, tightening them to the manufacturer-recommended torque value (usually around 13-15 lb-ft).
6. Reconnect the spark plug wires or ignition coils.

3. Clean Throttle Body

1. Remove the air intake duct connecting to the throttle body.
2. Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the inside of the throttle body.
3. Pay attention to the throttle plate and surrounding areas to remove any carbon buildup.
4. Reassemble the air intake duct and ensure all clamps are secure.

4. Inspect and Replace Fuel Filter (if applicable)

1. Locate the fuel filter (refer to service manual for specific location).
2. Relieve fuel pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and starting the engine until it stalls.
3. Disconnect fuel lines from the filter using a line removal tool.
4. Replace the old fuel filter with a new one, ensuring proper orientation.
