my Skoda Octavia NFL (2020-Present) has a rough idle when I start it

1. Preparation

• Gather necessary tools and parts.
• Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
• Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.

2. Inspect and Clean the Throttle Body

• Remove the air intake duct to access the throttle body.
• Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle plate and surrounding area.
• Reattach the air intake duct securely.

3. Replace Spark Plugs

• Remove the engine cover if necessary.
• Disconnect the ignition coils and carefully remove them from the spark plugs.
• Use a spark plug socket to remove old spark plugs.
• Install new spark plugs, ensuring they are gapped correctly (refer to the vehicle manual for specifications).
• Reinstall the ignition coils and engine cover.

4. Check and Replace Fuel Filter (if necessary)

• Locate the fuel filter in the fuel system (refer to the vehicle manual for location).
• Relieve fuel pressure by disconnecting the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
• Disconnect the fuel lines from the filter, being cautious of fuel spillage.
• Install the new fuel filter and reconnect the fuel lines securely.
