2. Clean Battery Terminals

• Remove the battery terminals (negative first, then positive).
• Clean the terminals and battery posts using a wire brush.
• Reattach the terminals, ensuring a tight fit.

3. Replace Battery (if necessary)

• If the battery voltage is below acceptable levels:
  1. Remove the old battery by disconnecting the terminals (negative first).
  2. Lift the battery out of the tray and place it in a safe location.
  3. Position the new battery in the tray and connect the terminals in the following order: positive first, then negative.
  4. Ensure all connections are tight and secure.

4. Test Alternator Output

• With the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery again:
  • If the voltage is below the specified range (13.7-14.7 volts), the alternator may need to be replaced.
