Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Socket set (including 10mm and 13mm sockets)
    • Torque wrench
    • Spark plug socket (typically 5/8” or 16mm)
    • Extension bar
    • Ratchet
    • Anti-seize compound (optional)
    • Clean cloths
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Disconnect the battery before beginning work.
    • Ensure the engine is cool to avoid burns.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Using a socket wrench, remove the bolts securing the engine cover (usually 10mm).
  • Carefully lift the engine cover off and set it aside.
3. Access Spark Plugs
  • Locate the ignition coils on top of the spark plugs.
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each ignition coil by pressing the tab and pulling them off.
  • Remove the bolts holding the ignition coils in place (typically 10mm) and pull the coils out gently.
4. Remove Spark Plugs
  • Using the spark plug socket and ratchet, carefully unscrew each spark plug from the cylinder head.
  • Inspect the old spark plugs for wear or damage.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the new spark plugs (if applicable).
  • Hand-tighten the new spark plugs into the cylinder head, then use a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer’s specifications (usually around 25-30 Nm, but check your specific model).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils
  • Reinsert the ignition coils into their respective positions.
  • Secure them with the bolts and reconnect the electrical connectors.
7. Reattach Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with the bolts removed earlier.
8. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
