Solution
1. Preparation
  • Ensure the engine is cool before beginning repairs.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical issues during the repair.
2. Check and Refill Coolant
  • Locate the coolant reservoir and remove the cap.
  • If low, top off with a mixture of 50% distilled water and 50% ethylene glycol coolant.
  • Replace the cap securely after refilling.
3. Inspect and Replace Thermostat (if needed)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, new thermostat, gasket or sealant.
  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove the engine cover if applicable.
  • Drain the coolant by opening the drain plug on the radiator.
  • Remove the hoses connected to the thermostat housing.
  • Unscrew the thermostat housing and remove the old thermostat.
  • Install the new thermostat and gasket in the correct orientation.
  • Reassemble the housing and reconnect hoses.
  • Refill the coolant system.
4. Inspect and Replace Radiator Fan (if needed)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, electrical multimeter, replacement fan motor.
  • Disconnect the battery.
  • Remove the front grille or shroud to access the radiator fan.
  • Check the fan for obstructions and test its electrical connections with a multimeter.
  • If faulty, remove the fan assembly and replace it with a new unit.
  • Reconnect all wiring and reassemble any removed components.
