Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery before working on electrical components.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.
2. Clean or Replace Air Filter
  • Locate the air filter housing.
  • Remove the air filter cover using a socket set.
  • Take out the air filter and replace it with a new one if dirty.
  • Reassemble the air filter housing and secure it.
3. Inspect and Clean Throttle Body
  • Remove the intake duct connected to the throttle body.
  • Use throttle body cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the throttle body and plate.
  • Ensure the throttle plate moves freely without obstruction.
  • Reattach the intake duct securely.
4. Test and Replace Fuel Pump (if necessary)
  • Attach the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail.
  • Turn the ignition on (do not start) to check if the fuel pressure is within specifications.
  • If pressure is low, replace the fuel pump by:
    • Removing the back seat or accessing the fuel pump from under the vehicle.
    • Disconnecting the fuel lines and electrical connector.
    • Unscrewing the pump assembly and replacing it with a new unit.
    • Reinstalling everything securely.
5. Check and Replace MAF Sensor (if faulty)
  • Locate the MAF sensor between the air filter and throttle body.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and unscrew the sensor from the intake.
  • If testing indicates malfunction, install a new MAF sensor.
  • Reconnect the sensor and the electrical connector.
