Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, screwdriver set, and safety goggles.
  • Disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent electrical shock while working on the wiper system.
2. Replace Wiper Motor (if faulty)
  1. Remove the wiper arms:
    • Use a socket set to remove the nuts securing the wiper arms to the motor shaft.
    • Gently pull the wiper arms off the shafts.
  2. Access the wiper motor:
    • Remove any interior panels or covers obstructing access to the wiper motor.
    • Unclip or unscrew any retaining hardware securing the motor in place.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
  4. Remove the motor from its mounting position.
  5. Install the new wiper motor:
    • Position the new motor in place and secure it with the original hardware.
    • Reconnect the electrical connector.
  6. Reinstall the wiper arms:
    • Align the wiper arms to their original position and secure them with the nuts.
    • Ensure the wipers are in the "parked" position before fastening.
3. Replace Wiper Switch (if faulty)
  1. Access the wiper switch:
    • Remove the steering column covers using a screwdriver set.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper switch.
  3. Remove the switch from the steering column by unscrewing any retaining screws.
  4. Install the new wiper switch:
    • Secure the new switch in the steering column and reconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Reassemble the steering column covers.
