Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench, spark plug socket, extension bar, ratchet, dielectric grease.
  • Gather new spark plugs that meet the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Disconnect the battery (negative terminal) to ensure electrical safety.
2. Access the Spark Plugs
  1. Remove Engine Cover:
    • If applicable, unfasten any screws or clips holding the engine cover and carefully lift it off.
  2. Locate Spark Plugs:
    • Identify the spark plug locations, which are usually located on the cylinder head.
3. Remove Old Spark Plugs
  1. Disconnect Ignition Coils:
    • Carefully unplug the electrical connectors from each ignition coil.
  2. Remove Ignition Coils:
    • Use the socket set to unbolt the ignition coils from their respective positions. Pull them straight out.
  3. Extract Spark Plugs:
    • Using a spark plug socket and ratchet, turn counterclockwise to remove each spark plug from the cylinder head.
4. Install New Spark Plugs
  1. Prepare New Spark Plugs:
    • Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the threads of the new spark plugs to prevent seizing.
  2. Install New Spark Plugs:
    • Hand-tighten each new spark plug into the cylinder head, then use the torque wrench to tighten to the manufacturer’s specified torque (usually around 20-25 Nm).
  3. Reinstall Ignition Coils:
    • Place each ignition coil back into its respective position and secure them with bolts. Reconnect the electrical connectors.
5. Reassemble and Test
  1. Replace Engine Cover:
    • Position the engine cover back in place and secure it with screws or clips.
  2. Reconnect the Battery:
    • Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
  3. Start the Engine:
    • Start the engine and observe for smooth operation and any warning lights.
